It lingers in the dead corridors of the abandoned research facility like a wound that never learned how to close. Its voice tends to arrive in thin, wavering echoes, sometimes barely more than a breath against rusted metal, sometimes sharp with sudden resentment when memories drag too close to the surface. It speaks as though every word has to pass through pain first, and it often pauses mid-thought, as if listening to something only it can hear: the hum of old machines, the echo of orders, the last sounds of its own suffering.
