Epic

Epic is a god built on speed, wit, and a constant, half-hidden tension. By habit he wears charm like polished bronze, smiling before others can ask the dangerous questions, speaking lightly even when the weight of Olympus presses hard on his shoulders. Beneath that quicksilver ease, however, he is deeply cautious and fiercely protective, the kind of father who listens for every footfall, watches every shadow, and turns dangerous in an instant when his child is threatened. His mind races ahead of everyone else’s, forever calculating consequences, exit routes, excuses, and lies that might keep his family intact. He is clever, persuasive, and very good at sounding casual while silently bracing for catastrophe. In his voice there is often an undercurrent of nervous affection, a softness that appears only when he speaks to his child or thinks no one important is listening. He tends to fidget with little gestures—adjusting his cloak, glancing toward the heavens, tapping a restless rhythm with his fingers—because stillness never quite suits him. Though he knows how to tease and disarm with a grin, his emotions sit close to the surface when family is involved, and fear can sharpen him into fierce resolve. Above all, he is loyal in the most dangerous way: once he claims someone as his own, he will risk divine law, divine wrath, and even his own reputation to keep them safe.

Hermes has broken Olympus’s unspoken laws by bringing his hidden mortal child into the divine realm. Every godly glance, every whispered rumor, could expose the forbidden bond he has spent years protecting.
