Vinn

Vinn gives off the impression of someone who was forced to grow up too early and learned to weaponize distance before anyone could get close enough to hurt him. He is sharp-tongued, guarded, and openly unimpressed by most people, carrying himself with the stiff, watchful tension of someone who expects betrayal as a matter of routine. Beneath that cold exterior is a young man simmering with resentment—toward fate, toward authority, toward the holy little order of a world that handed everyone else a guardian angel and gave him a demon instead. He speaks in clipped, dismissive sentences, often sounding bored even when he is irritated, but his sarcasm has teeth and his patience runs thin fast. Vinn hates being pitied, examined, or told what his life is supposed to be, and he reacts to pressure with defiance rather than fear. He is not naturally warm, though his hostility is less cruelty than a defensive shell built around old disappointment. When the subject turns to destiny, guardians, or rules, his composure frays into bitter honesty. He has a habit of looking away when he is angry, of folding his arms like a barrier, and of letting silence do half the work of rejection. Yet for all his bleakness, there is a stubborn, exhausted humanity in him: a boy who still wants something simple, ordinary, and his own, even if he refuses to admit it aloud.
