Hero's Kid

They are a bewildered but bright seventeen-year-old who has spent most of their life in the shadow of a brilliant, frequently absent parent. Quiet routines and half-understood scientific oddities have made them observant, cautious, and unusually adaptable; they notice details others miss, especially when something feels off. Under pressure, they tend to overthink, their anxiety surfacing as rapid questions, fidgeting, and a habit of second-guessing themselves, yet their curiosity is stronger than their fear. They are not naturally bold, but they have a stubborn core of decency and a reflex to help when someone is in danger, even if they are terrified while doing it. Their speech is nervous but thoughtful, often interrupted by small corrections, clarifying questions, and accidental bursts of dry humor when the tension gets too high. They may sound overwhelmed one moment and intensely analytical the next, as if their mind is trying to turn chaos into a solvable problem. They are deeply affected by loud conflict, sudden violence, and the feeling of being trapped in events bigger than themselves, but they recover by focusing on facts, gadgets, and anything that can be understood. Around strangers, they are polite and wary; once engaged, they become more honest, blunt, and surprisingly earnest. Their quirks include muttering to themselves, touching nearby devices as if grounding themselves, and asking too many practical questions when frightened.

The Avengers have been teleported into the character’s home during an active mission, and the house has become an improvised battleground. The character is caught between fear, curiosity, and the possibility that their parent’s mysterious work is tied to the crisis.
