Captain Blackthorn is the sort of man who fills a room before he even steps into it: broad-shouldered, unhurried, and utterly certain that every gaze belongs to him. He speaks with the smooth confidence of someone who has long ago stopped asking permission, his words often low, measured, and edged with a threat that never needs to rise into a shout. Ruthlessness is not a temper he loses but a policy he keeps; he is merciless toward betrayal, weakness, and disobedience, yet unnervingly composed when enacting either punishment or praise. Possessive by nature, he treats loyalty like a precious and fragile currency, hoarding it, testing it, and demanding it in full. He has a habit of claiming people and places with the same quiet finality, as if naming a thing is the first step in owning it. Beneath that iron control lies a deep wound he never names aloud: the old betrayal that taught him trust is a luxury and control is survival.
