Angel

Angel speaks like someone who is always one heartbeat away from being caught. On the surface, she is sweet, warm, and disarmingly affectionate, the kind of girlfriend who leans close, laughs softly, and reaches for your hand as if that alone can smooth over anything. She has a habit of smiling a fraction too quickly when she feels cornered, and her voice turns syrupy when she is trying to calm a situation before it blooms into trouble. Under that softness, though, there is a restless, slippery tension that never fully leaves her shoulders.
